Primrose's Field

What do you see ??? Waves !! The background seems to undulate
In addition, this illusion shows a great quantity of movement.
Vibrating Checkerboard

In the same order, this illusion of movement will disturb you The central round seems to float. The brain has difficulties to express this image according to what it knows, it does not manage to determine contours
Slipping Autumn

Caution !!! VERY irritating illusion, your eyes will hop if you move quickly while observing the center!!!
You can for example move quickly from top to bottom the scrolling bar (on the right) while looking at the central rectangle, you will see, it is surprising.
The central rectangle seems to float. The brain has difficulties to express this image according to what it knows, it does not manage to determine contours.
Crazy Stick

Here the stick (on the left)is nonmade up of a colour gradation as lets think the illusion.
The brain distinguishes the colors compared to their surrounding background, the stick appears clearer to us in top because the background is dark.
Complemantary Discolouration

Attentively fix the cross at the center of the circle during several seconds.
Two spectacular phenomena will occur :
on the one hand a yellow spot will be formed ;
on the other hand, if you do not blink eyes, the blue spots disappear.
This illusion illustrates the phenomenon of afterimage. Indeed, when the retina is subjected to saturation during several seconds with a coloured gleam, it is the complementary color which appears at the time of the desaturation of the photosensitive cells. Thus, blue is transformed into yellow. But where the effect lasts normally only a few seconds (because the retina is rehabilitated quickly), here we are surprised to see this yellow spot turning indefinitely. This is explained by the fact that after each phenomenon of retinal persistence on a spot, another blue spot disappear, leaving place to a new illusory yellow. Concerning the progressive disappearance of the blue discs, it seem that the brain interprets the image like a displacement of a single yellow disc drawing aside the presence of the blue discs.
Jesus Illusion

What represents this curious form ? A miracle ?
To discover what is hidden, attentively fix the 4 black spots of the center during 30 seconds, then click on the image while looking at it.
On the white zone which appears, you should see a famous character of the History (to accentuate the effect you can close or blink eyes).
This illusion, is due to retinal persistence. Indeed, if you reverse the colors of this image, you will very clearly see this character.
Misleading Checkwork

According to you, which red bar is largest ?
Is it the right-hand side one ? Failure !
They are rigorously identical.
This is due to the perspective, reinforced by the checkerboard because we estimate the size of the red bars compared to the squares
